Building a Jobsearch Platform That Connects
Recruitment / two-sided marketplace · Our client

The Challenge
Our client set out to solve a specific matchmaking problem: connecting companies with job seekers across the hospitality, logistics and blue-collar worker sectors in Hungary. It was a smart, well-targeted idea - but it needed a website capable of doing the heavy lifting for two very different users of the platform at once.
Job seekers needed a simple way to register, log in and apply. Companies needed to post roles, review and shortlist applicants, and manage the path to interview. The platform also had to handle large volumes of personal data, which meant strict adherence to data protection laws and robust security protocols were non-negotiable. The brief to Sharp was clear: build something powerful enough to serve both sides, secure enough to be trusted, and easy enough that neither jobseekers nor recruiters would be put off using it.
How We Helped
We built the platform from the ground up around those two users of the platform. For job seekers, we created a smooth account creation and login experience, making it easy to get set up and start applying. For companies, we built the tools they needed to run their hiring end to end - creating roles, reviewing and shortlisting applicants, and reaching out to candidates to begin the interview process.
Underpinning all of it, we made data protection a foundation rather than an afterthought. The site was built with robust security protocols to keep personal data safe and keep the platform firmly on the right side of data privacy law - essential for earning trust on both sides.
Throughout, ease of navigation was the guiding principle. We designed the experience so both jobseekers and recruiters could do what they came to do with as little friction as possible, and we built strong SEO into the site so it could be found by the people it was designed to serve.
The Lasting Impact
The platform quickly proved its worth on the metrics that matter. Users spent longer on the website's pages, a sign that the experience was engaging and easy to move through.
That engagement translated into growth: registrations and applications both increased as more jobseekers and companies made the platform part of their process. And the site's visibility grew alongside its usage - improved SEO pushed it higher in search rankings, driving a higher number of unique monthly visitors and a steady pipeline of new users on both sides.
